Guinea Pigs, otherwise known as Cavies.
I am just starting to get into these little guys, at first I was not too keen, but they are very easy to love and very cute to watch. At the moment at Missy K Rabbitry, we have 3 Piggies. |

Two Merino Purivian Cavies - Breeding Pair
This is Shelby and Marvin, they are Pure bred Mernio Purivians. They are a breeding pair and should produce some little piglets in about 2 months time.
The Gestation of the cavy is about 65 days, so twice as long as the rabbit.
The advantage of this, is that they are born with fur and can run around and with in a few days they are eating food.
