As I live in Christchurch I am not too aware of the clubs and groups in the North Island.

In Christchurch there are two rabbit clubs. 

CDRA - Peter Hooper is the contact for this.  Specializes with children and then adults.  Very enjoyable and well organised club.  Lots of show and lots of fun.

CC&RFA - Joan Clack is the contact for this club.  This club not only has the rabbits but also the cavies, or more commonly known as the Guinea Pig. These are just lovely to watch and so many different types, colours and breeds also. This club does not have as many shows, but has a lot so fun.

The Rabbit Council of New Zealand (RCNZ) - Natalie Burton is the Secertary of this club, this is the National club of New Zealand.  It provides information, a standards book, rings and shows. If you would like to contact Natalie her e-mail address is angora@ihug.co.nz

 

If you need to know about any other clubs it would be wise to contact Natalie and she will steer you in the right direction. As most Cities have a rabbit club.  There are also some specialist clubs.  Theres are all situated in the North Island.

This is a great discussion group for new and long time breeders.  Most of the Breeders around New Zealand are on this site.  There are lots of different topics disgusted each week, from what to feed your rabbit to health and general well being of you bunny.  It is a fun and informative group.

Natures Pace is an awesome rabbitry, not only does this rabbitry have Flemish Giants, but also the very special Endbery Island Rabbit, which is a rare breed.  Have a look.
