This web site is dedicated to all my beauitful Mini Lops.  They are such a big part of my life and now I would like to thank them for the endless amounts of joy I have had from them.

I began breeding Mini Lops 6 years ago.  Just starting off with a buck and a doe.  I did not know anything about the breed but the knowledge soon developed.  I am a current member of the Rabbit Council of New Zealand and I am also a Lop Specialist Judge

I am very proud of my bunnies.  I hope you enjoy this site.

First and foremost Rabbits are Cute!!!!.  The mini lops look like a cuddly toy and in many respects they are.  But they do have personalities like people.  Some mini lops do like cuddles and being petted others just like being petted and not picked up and cuddled.

Rabbits relatively easy to take care of and do not require alot of exercise or space. They do not bark or meow constantly. There housing is simple my bunnies are housed up off the ground and housed on wire with hay.  This just keeps them clean and free from disease and flies, it also protects then from roaming dogs and cold wet grass. 

I clean my bunnies out once a week.  They have fresh pellets and water daily and hay once every few days.  Sometimes I might give them a treat, like carrots, bananas or apples but like lollies for children they are only sometimes.

Rabbits are affordable, there food is not expensive like some dog and cat foods.

Rabbits can be toilet trained and bigger rabbits can be trained to walk on a lead, but more often it is the bunny leading the owner, as they do have little bones, which could break easily if pulled alot on a lead.

At Missy K Rabbitry I breed purebred Mini Lops, Fuzzy Lops and Jersey Woolies, I try to breed to the standards as set out in the New Zealand Rabbit Council Standards book.  I try and breed the best quaility rabbits that I can.  Most of my bunnies have pedigrees and all I sell have Birth Certificates and food.

Things you will need to have before you get your new bunny

1)  Bowls for food and water

2)  Cage to house the rabbit - Trade Me or Buy Sell Exchange are good places to look. Making sure it is sturdy.  Up off the ground works best for me.

3)  Food - Pellets, Hay last seasons, etc

4)  Brush and Nail clippers

Sadly we have lost Benson Jr to Renal Failure.  He has left some lovely kits and I have a few here at Missy K Rabbitry. You will be sadly missed Benson.  Have fun in Bunny Heaven!!!!! (This is not a great photo)
